Presently, alongside counselling I work with victims of domestic and sexual violence, advocating on their behalf and ensuring they have access to specialist support services as needed.
Previously, I have worked in supported living schemes with adults diagnosed with learning difficulties and who present with challenging behaviour.
I have also worked within the criminal justice system providing support to people at risk of suicide & self-harm.
I currently own and operate my own counselling practice. Additionally, I work alongside Employee Assistance Programmes providing counselling to their workforces.
I completed my counselling placement through an agency which provided support to the local community and have worked with a wide range of concerns.
I am also experienced in facilitating and delivering group work.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I practice within the Ethical Framework provided by the BACP, which demonstrates my commitment to working both safely and professionally.
I adhere to their ethical principles of:
I attend monthly supervision in line with BACP requirements to ensure my practice remains safe, ethical and professional at all times.
